Chapter 1: At The Heart of Twinbrook...

Ohio there ;) Welcome all to the very first chapter of my brand new legacy!
This here is the beautiful town of Twinbrook, and it is to be taken over for the next Idannohoweverlong by me and my legacy playin' skillz, oh yah.

One thing I should mention first though. This time, legacy rules are out (though it's not like I followed them properly before).
This is not a challengacy, a freeacy, a phallacy, an aristocracy, a surrogacy, or a conspiracy. It's a dowhatthefuckIwantacy.

Legacy rules are now guidelines only. After all, why rule out ghosts, moving house, and all sorts of other ace things?

Let's have some fun shall we ;)



This here is Winter Heart, founder extraordinare.
His traits are Eccentric, Hopeless Romantic, Computer Whiz, Genius, and Light Sleeper.



Now some of you are already familiar with Winter, and for those who aren't here's the skinny:
On FuryRed Says I had an unofficial legacy of sorts, of which Winter is the third generation. Eventually, with my Prison story going tits up and with Winter being such a cutie, I decided he should branch out into proper legacydom. That's where we come in now.



You know instead of legacy points I may just count how many rules I break instead... Numero Uno states you should move your Simmie into a big ass plot of land and make him eat cereal on the toilet until he can afford furniture. Not for me! Winter's got himself his very own house.



...I didn't say it was a palace though. It's very basic but it has everything the boy needs, so all is bon.



Mmm, what better way to start your first day in a new home than by doing laundry in your undercrackers?



Could we be any more white trash?



Oh, we can. Y'see, as Winter's an Eccentric his mind is all whirry and full of mad genius, so naturally a career as a self-employed Inventor was the way forward.
First stop was the local junkyard to search for parts.



Afterwards came a nice stroll through town to meet the locals, and as you can see not an ugly townie in sight (I stripped the place of EA fuglies and replaced them with pre-mades).



Although not all of them are pre-mades... Anyone recognise her?



Readers of The Mars Family Legacy may remember two girls with the shiniest red hair, girls named Allune and Alexis...
Yes, the Weston (nee FuryRed) family lives on as generation five move into Twinbrook. Told you I'd keep them around ;)



After a first day of collecting junk and meeting peoples, the following morning was spent practising the inventing skill.



It didn't take Winter too long at all to reach level 2. Lean mean inventing machine.



Although this wasn't without a few mishaps... Silly boy, hammering his own thumb.



Oh, and after inventing for a good few days Winter was rewarded with this... creepy gnome thing.



It seems, well, not sweet and innocent but at least bearable, but it's not! Every single time I take the camera away from it, I come back and it's moved D:
I fear what it might do next...



Several days of legacy living down the line and it didn't take long for things to fall to pieces... Lots of time inventing + no cleaning + no maid = dirty Winter. I think he needs a woman to keep things tidy...
Oh yeah, rampant sexism in the workplace! ;)



In preparation for a good olde fashioned wifesearch Winter first went to get himself a tattoo.



And here be the finished project ;)



Later on that day Winter paid a visit to his sister Autumn. Now, I know some of you are probably saywhating right now, but again this is because Winter grew up on my blog, so he has family and everyfink.



Autumn is Winter's big sis ^_^ They're like best buddies which is nice, but we'll see more of her some other time.



Firstly we have more important things on the agenda ;)
After scoping out the town for a bit and finding no one suitable, Winter took to knocking on doors in search for some company. In time he arrived at this house, and met Zuma.



Winter took to Zuma immediately, but his breath fell short when she told him she already had a boyfriend. Still, Winter saw something in Zuma that mattered, and so he decided to be happy with just friendship.



In between building up a friendship with Zuma, Winter continued to pursue the inventing skill. By the time he reached level 5 he was able to do something verrryyyy interesting...



Say buhbye to the telly everyone...



BOOM!



My oh my do I love watching Winter detonate things :D



Here's a little piece of advice though, if you're thinking of blowing up some shiz yourself, be aware, some explosions can have a little more gusto than others...



Fuck



Yeah



After that spot of mindful vandalism, Winter headed to the consignment store to stalk, I mean, visit Zuma.



Really the boy should just pack up and move on, but he keeps wishing to hang out with Zuma, talk to her, touch her etc. and I can't say no to him.



Oh, and he does this a lot too. Winter, did no one tell you how to perv subtly?



Speaking of not being subtle... At the weekend Winter was invited over to Zuma's house, but guess what he did when he got there? In a matter of minutes the washing machine was no more.



And the barbeque.



And the picnic bench.



It was no surprise that Zuma agreed to move in with Winter after that- she didn't have any furniture left anyways.



Hmm, way to make yourself feel at home...



It was very cosy in the Heart/Meadows household from the off, what with them only being able to afford one bed and all. Still, it's not like Winter minded.



What he did mind though was the little slice of reality that would be served to him every time he saw Zuma with her boyfriend.



The whole situation pained and plagued Winter. Zuma was taken and he should just accept that, so why did he still feel this way? It was impossible to contest the emotions, because everytime she wrapped her arms around him Winter felt himself come to life.



In the end there was nothing else to do but repress. Inventing helped; it distracted him for a while, and the rest- the acceptance- he supposed it would come with time.



*creepy gnome hiatus*



In efforts of still looking for a suitable partner, Winter again took to the streets (...not street corners though).
On a return visit to the Weston household he got to meet Allune's younger sister at last, and isn't she just a treat for the eyes?



Mm, not only that but Alexis is a bit of a frisky little vixen- she started flirting with Winter only a few minutes after meeting him (and with no help from me).



As time went on Winter and Alexis spent a lot of time together, partly due to their mutual love of the trampoline.



Oh, but maybe that love will soon turn to hate for Alexis...



*chortle*



By this point I was rocking back and forth laughing at my compizzle.



Ouch...



Pretty good Alexis, maybe a little sloppy on the dismount. I'd give you an 8.5.



Winter gave her rather more than that.



Another day another fun aspect of the inventing skill as Winter starts to drill up his backyard in search of... I don't know what. Moles?



Zuma meanwhile was working to learn the scuplting skill. Yep, these two are both self-employed, which is nice but somewhat detrimental to their homelife...



Sometimes I like it when my Sims don't have a maid- it's nice to see them looking after themselves- but in the case of Winter and Zuma it just means they end up living in A FACKING SHITHOLE.
Seriously, they never clean unless I force them too, they don't do the washing up, they don't wash their clothes. Dirty little beggars (though Winter looks nice cleaning the loo in his pants doesn't he?)



Oh, and the other major downside of being self-employed and crap with money and failing at life means that you're often treated to a visit by the repoman.



You know, in anyone else's game this scene might seem a tad unusual, but for me?



...Nope, seems about right.



After surviving the attack of the repoman with the bed still intact, Winter decided to invite Alexis for a little rumble, but she was having none of it! Pricktease...



Aww, look at the face! You've gone and hurt his feelings now.



*glares* That is not the type of bouncing I had in mind.



But you know what they say don't you? If at first you don't succeed, slip her some rohypnol and try again...



Don't ask me about the strange white stain on the bed there...
Okay, it's a custom content mesh issue, gutterminds!



After Alexis had left, Winter once again spent the evening with Zuma just hanging out.
They ate and laughed and talked as they usually did, but out of the corner of his eye Winter thought he saw Zuma look at him in a way she never had before...



The following day, Winter and Zuma set out to explore Twinbrook.



Apparently Zuma is just too overcome with the beauty of it all. Either that, or...



Freewill baby...



...Sometimes it throws you a curveball.



After their kiss, Winter and Zuma went to the local bistro for a bite to eat.



Zuma's thoughts swirled with conflict- the sum of questions unanswered.



Winter's mind on the other hand spoke like diamonds.



Crystal clear.







The following morning Winter awoke and had breakfast, looking fiendishly attractive as per usual.



By this point Winter was approaching the middle of the Young Adult lifestage, so I figured it was time for him to settle down somewhat- get a proper girlfriend yanno? Of course the question then is settle down with who? Well my friends, I have a way of working these things out.



My oh-so complex plan is this- get Winter, Zuma, and Alexis together, see who he goes for first, and that will be the winner. So, shall we see who he chooses?



NUHHHHHH! Come on, you really think I'd just be nice and tell you straight off? Nope, you're gonna have to wait til next time to find out.
