Chapter 11: Gaybies

ARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

*whimpers in a corner*



Six babies. SIX! I consider this as a true test of my Simming skills yanno- it's just me and my keyboard/mouse combo fighting a big pixel beast composed entirely of infants. It's going to be difficult, but I'm sure with my sword of courage and my shield of--- oh, who am I kidding? This is going to be a FUCKING NIGHTMARE.



In an effort to somehow increase my chances of not crashing and burning I turned to Sim Fury who, after visiting the day before the birth, had slept over so was on hand and eager to help.



Oi! You're supposed to be on my side!

In that moment my plans of going into this with a brave face on were swiftly vanquished. Damn you pixel me...



Ultimately it was simply down to Cassidy and Darwin to take charge and be the parents I knew they could be, and thankfully they were indeed brilliant. I'm not saying it was easy (fuck no) but though some sexy teamwork they were able to keep all the kids happy.



Bellamy and I weren't quite as useful though... Coffee bitches.



But while I continued to be useless, eventually Bellamy did decide to spend some time taking care of her grandchildren.



But I kind of wish she hadn't...



As the stress of taking care of the babies was starting to get to Cassie and Darwin, I found myself grateful of Darwin's social butterfly skills. He's friends with a lot of people in Twinbrook, and so I was able to just invite over anyone I could in the vain hope that they'd turn out to be a whiz at the childcare shiz.



Kittycattylion (writer of The Tea Legacy) was NOT AT ALL HELPFUL.



But maybe that was just down to my own bad influence...



By the second day of child minding Cassidy and Darwin were bottoming out with regards to their fun levels, so I had to send them out to a football game so they could recover a bit.



Baddddddd move. Okay, I know six babies is a bit much for the babysitter to handle, but come on! She didn't even try to look after the kiddies, she just stood there bitching about it  >: (



In the end I had to rush Cassidy and Darwin home to save the kids from, well, death.



I think the baby stage was definitely the hardest to handle, but thankfully it was soon over. It's birthday time! Also time for you to learn the kids names.



Tristan.



Thaila.



Regan.

Following the kids transition into toddlers they immediately crawled off into their specially-made playroom, full of funsome activities for them to do.



Cassidy looked a bit overwhelmed at times bless him, probably wondering how those girls came out of him I bet.



The next day it was time for Cassie and Darwin to go back to work, and whilst there I was surprised to discover they had a new co-worker in the form of Humperdink. I guess it makes sense- he's got to be pretty fireproof right?



Meanwhile, back at home things were falling apart... A babysitter was present of course, but as per usual she was doing naff all to help, so I could only watch as the kids motive bars slipped further and further into the red...



You know something? I like cheats. I only ever play Grand Theft Auto if I know I can't die, otherwise it's no fun for me. With the Sims it's a little different- I'll usually just play things as they are, and if that means that unfortunate things happen- like Winter dying- then I'll just let it be. In this case however I had to act.

In a few short clicks, all the kids motives were dragged up and they were safe again. Taking care of six children is impossible if the parents both go to work at the same time, so it was either cheat or let them be taken away by the social worker. I'm sure I made the right decision.



With everyone in the house on a permanent high I was able to fully concentrate on teaching the kids their skills, because damn there was a lot to get done.



Darwin was a pro with the kids, but Cassidy didn't do quite so well... He tried his best and he had a lot of love for his children, but somehow things always seemed a little strange...



Of course it didn't help that he was Evil and he kept stealing candy from those he was meant to be helping *shakes head*



But in the end Cassidy and Darwin had it down. They were like a parenting team, and no child was left behind... but I do think a few of them were scarred for life by Cassidy's decision to wear his scary firefighting gear sometimes.



You know, even though they were only young, the personalities of the kids gradually began to come out. I mean, look at Regan- everyone else looks all silly when they're on the potty, but she looks like she's posing for Next Top Model or something.



I think I should go through a bit about each child so you can get to know them better actually, but before that we'll have a look at Darwin celebrating his transition into an Adult. Yey... Moving on!



Thaila here is the nice one of the bunch. Her traits are Exciteable and Easily Impressed, and she's no bother at all.



Isla I think is going to be an interesting one, both in terms of looks and personality. Her traits are Brave and Snob.



Regan is a bit of a pain to be honest- she's the one who cries all the time even when there's nothing wrong with her. Her traits are Loner and Genius.



Jayden is another nice kid. His traits are Good and Angler.



Luca is a terror in the making. His traits are Insane and Perceptive. I think he's going to end up looking a lot like Cassidy.



And finally there's Tristan, a very happy and smiley child. His traits are Good and Vegetarian. I think he's the most interesting looking and cutest thus far, and he kind of seems a bit Asian to me :P



Obviously all the kiddies are very, very cute, so I wasn't too surprised when I finally found Sim Fury making an effort by reading with Thaila.



Kitty on the other hand was still not pulling her weight. No more sushi for you!



But at least with someone on their side, and with no motives to manage, Cassidy and Darwin were able to spend some sexy moments together as a couple for the first time in a long while.



Before long all the kids were skilled up and ready, and this gave Cassidy enough free time to try out the gym I'd built especially for him.



And now my friends it's birthday time once again, wheeeeee!

First up was Thaila.

But oh, the cuteness didn't last as my legacy curse of emo children set in pretty quick the following morning.



*shudders*



Pretty soon I realised managing a family with six children wasn't actually that difficult, because it really all came down to planning- namely eating, sleeping, showering at the same time. Before long the family fell into a routine, and it enabled them to have cute little family dinners like this ^_^



But not all things family related were so cosy... One day at the park, Isla came across her Auntie Leischen and decided to approach her and ask to feel her baby bump, but the bitch just yelled at her! Boo Leischen, booooooooooo!!!



Bahaha, good boy Luca  >: D



For the days that followed my structured plan seemed to be working, and at least with all the kids sleeping at the same time it gave me an opportunity to chill for a while.







Plus it gave Mr and Mr Heart a much needed break.



The next day back at work we began to have some problems. Every day as soon as my Sims got to work they'd just glitch up and freeze, and instantly I knew what the problem was. It's freaking Humperdink isn't it?

This is actually quite annoying for me- a big aspect of Ambitions has to be Simbots, but you can't even enjoy them properly because they're so bugged and messed up. It really pisses me off- I'm never going to be able to have a Simbot in the family again  >: (

Ho well, at least now with me knowing what the issue was I could just use resetsim to pop Humperdink back home where he couldn't cause any problems. Poor guy  :(



Child recap time again! With so many kids in the house it's kind of hard for me to give a complete overview of all of their activities, so we'll just have to summarise aight?

Thaila's newest trait is Ambitious, and she's probably the most well-rounded of the kids as she's always happy.



Isla gained the Artistic trait and consequently threw herself into some painting. As she's a Snob she doesn't really want to spend much time with others, unless she's talking about herself, but she and Thaila are bessie mates.



Tristan is now a Genius and his favourite activity is stargazing. He has a weird mark on his face below his mouth which I'm hoping he's going to grow out of it  >_<  I still think he looks a bit Asian, or at least Animé.



Regan is Tristan's closest friend as she's also a Genius and they like playing chess together. She gained the Grumpy trait, so if you add that to the fact that she's a Loner it means she doesn't really like to talk to anyone (other than Tris).



Jayden gained the Friendly trait, and as he's Good as well it means he's basically just the nice guy of the bunch and he's built a friendship with everyone.



Luca on the other hand is a meanie... He's now Mean Spirited as well as Insane, so he's not exactly the greatest guy to be around.



Despite all the children's differences I was determined that they'd all get along, cause in the past my Sim kids have not been exactly kind to each other... Thankfully though they all seem to mesh well, hurrah!



Oh, but while I want them to be friendly there are some people I'd prefer them not to socialise with O_O Perhaps I should have warned the kiddies about the predatory Wolfie?



Oh my, it's too late- he's moving in for the kill  D:



The strange thing is though, even though Thaila should know better, she actually wanted to be friends with Wolfie. She kept wishing to play tag and chat to him and shiz, so I just left them to it.



And then I watched at things just got more and more creepy.



And then I laughed my assets off  XD



The following morning Wolfie showed up at the house completely unannounced, which again is very creepish. By this point Thaila was wishing to be best friends with him. Honestly girl...



How can you not be scared of this?!



I guess Cassidy and Darwin should have been more vigilant in watching over their little girl, but nope they were too busy doing some kissing and being creeped out by a stalker of their very own.



All in all Cassie and Darwin were excellent parents though, and they built strong bonds with each of their kids.



When it was time for the children's birthdays the whole family gathered round to celebrate the occasion.



My Sims can never just do anything the normal way can they?



So let's get to it with some birthday sparkles. First up was Tristan.



Om nom nom...



Then came Regan, looking happy for once.



It didn't last long.



Next up was Jayden.



Pleasant as ever.



Next was Luca.



Ooh my. I can definitely see Cassidy in him.



Thaila followed after.



Very pretty.



And finally it was Isla's turn.



As I expected- kind of unconventional.



Following their birthdays I just packed all the teens off to bed, cause with eight fully grown Sims to manage I think I require time to prepare.
