Chapter 12, Part 2: Regan, Jayden, Luca

All aboard the emo bus!

Yes, my favourite legacy curse continues as always with Regan and Tristan here sulking for the nation. I can never just have happy kids can I?



Well, actually I do have one. Jayden's like a shining beacon of pleasantness. He's always smiling, he has great relationships with all the other Heart teens... I'm beginning to wonder if the stork dropped him off at the wrong house  o_O



Still, I guess I should just be happy. With Jayden being no trouble at all it frees up a lot of my time to deal with... the more problem children.



Luca. Who else?



Now I love Luca. He's a carbon-copy of Cassidy- the only one in fact- so naturally he has a special place in my pants, I mean, heart. Heart!

Anyways, Luca is a love, but he's also a meanie mean person, and he can't help but take out his vindictive streak on the other members of the household; Regan in particular.



Perhaps though Luca should be more careful regarding who he teases. Regan's not exactly one to take any cruelty easily.



By this point Regan and Luca's relationship had sadly soured somewhat. I guess it's my fault really for deciding to just let my Sims get on with it, but it definitely is more interesting that way. And so, every time I'd see Luca skulking down the corridors looking for his next victim I just let it be. I'll deal with the therapy bills later.



But not all of Luca's time was spent mocking the weak. Nope, he also liked to spend time on the forums- lol'ing at the weak  >_>



All in all, Luca's temperament made for some very sketchy situations when he, like all teens, set his sights on l'amour. 

 I think it's safe to say that you cannot win girls by calling them a llama.



Nor can you win girls by completely ignoring them at random intervals as you battle with the pixies in your brain.



Yes, you can put on all the shiny-shiny lip balm you want- it still wont guarantee you a go at your fair maiden.



In fact it's more likely to result in a sharp prod in the eyeball.



But before you all go thinking that Luca is a monster, he really isn't. I tend to think of him as more troubled than terrible, and the fact that he does have friends- such as Corey Paxton here- shows that there is depth to the boy; maybe even a pretty little soul in there somewhere.



The funny thing is, even though Luca is a bit of a bulldozer when it comes to social situations, he actually still has more friends than Regan. Not one for crowds, Regan prefers the strong embrace of her brain muscles working together. She likes chess, yanno?



Regan's favourite pastime was hanging out in the local library; forever gripped in the heady quest for knowledge.



But let's not all mark Regan down in our minds as bound to larry-ville. I don't expect her to be setting herself up with a spinster's wheel and a bunch of cats just yet, because even though she's a Loner, Regan always had time for Tristan.

In essence, Regan ran her own little homework club  >_<  Every night she'd be there to help out the others with their schoolwork- even Luca. It was nice to see them all band together every so often, but somehow I just knew that it couldn't last...



Oh deary me. What's a pixie-brained hunk to do when his fair maiden is stolen away by his own brother?



Mm, the deathstare. A good choice.



Immediately after the upset of seeing Tristan with Nicole (for that is her name-o) Luca immediately ran off into the schoolyard to pick on the nearest ginger kid he could find.



But don't feel too bad for the ginger- Isla soon got to flirting to make the boy feel better.



And in return he was nice enough to listen to her talk about herself. Man, if he wasn't so facially challenged he and Isla would be so on.



Later that night, Luca returned home still awash with rejection. He'd tried so hard to experience that first flush of romance, and to crash and burn over and over again was simply demoralising. Consequently, Luca soon decided to take matters into his own hands. It was time to get busy, and get buff.



Meanwhile, back at the schoolgrounds Regan was also working on making some changes in her life as she got to socialising for once. This here is Lolita Laird- Cassidy's sister Leischen's daughter (Regan's cousin).


For the first time, Regan actually enjoyed spending time with something other than her Adonis-like brain muscles, and the moment when they discovered that they were both Loners was particularly sweet.



As time went on, Regan and Lol built up a strong friendship.



But I wasn't about to get too ahead of myself and do a cartwheel of joy at Regan's new found social life, because in essence the girl was still the same as always. I mean, who else spends their nights hanging out on a slide looking all awesome and emo?


...Hey, I haven't done that for a very long time.



So with her budding friendship giving her new confidence, Regan also found herself taking an interest in the opposite sex for the first time...



A few days later, Corey and Regan began flirting in the back garden.



And they soon shared their first kiss.



So whilst Regan and Co. were off experiencing life to the fullest- be those experiences good or bad, Jayden spent most of his time at home tidying up and the like  >_<



Life for Jayden seemed to be mostly lived through others. Every time one of the Heart kids did something, there Jayden would be- watching from the sidelines. He's like a non-threatening stalker.



But this stalkerism did have its advantages. Whenever any of the other teens brought a friend home, Jayden had the ability to swoop in and befriend them instantly, making him a very popular boy indeedy.



Yes, as a Friendly Sim, Jayden spent most of his days out meeting all the Sims in the neighbourhood, including Humperdink's son Kaysar Grahame, who schmoozed his way into this chapter by wearing a FuryRed t-shirt  :P



And as Jayden was such a social butterfly and because he knew all the cool kids, you just knew he'd end up at The Legacy Stalkers House eventually.



O_O



Perhaps though The Legacy Stalkers House is not the best place for a vulnerable young man to spend his time, ifyannowhatI'msayin'.



^Creeper.



Oh, and speaking of creepishness, whilst Jayden was paying a visit to The Legacy Stalkers House, guess who decided to scare the bejeasus out of me by sitting in the next room, playing chess, and sweating profusely?



Kitty's either some sort of salt-producing catnip-powered superhero, or she's just a freakazoid.

...Mebbe both  ;D



In the world outside the now very ripe smelling Legacy Stalkers House, Darwin was at the town hall getting his key to the city for reaching level 10 in the firefighting career, yey.



And across the street, Cassidy was either supporting Luca or trying to kill him as he aided his son in his mission to become Buffman from Bufftown, Buff Islands.



The following morning, after surviving Kitty's attempts to tsunami his assets, Jayden was out and about early in his quest for... fish. He's an Angler yanno.



But a nice ol' goldfish is not all Jayden caught that day... Billie Reaper was pulled in hook line and sinker. Jayden didn't quite reel her in to his lips just yet, but it was heading that way.



Over on the less coy side of the house, Cassie and Darwin were locked up in a PDA- their, ooh, seventh of the day? Those guys sure do have a lot of love for each other.



...Well. It's mostly love, with the occasional bit of play thrown in for good measure.



Ah, let's just hope that Cassidy and Darwin's strong marriage and fatherly support is enough to help these six little hellions through their Young Adult lives, because it's time for them to grow up.



With Mr and Mr Heart watching from the sidelines as always.



First up was Jayden.







Then Isla.







Luca.







Thaila.







Tristan.







And Regan.







That, my friends, is a good looking bunch of kids. And now the question comes in... who's going to be heir?



Will it be Regan- the sultry and reserved chess queen who chooses her friends carefully?



Thaila- the cooking whiz who's rose-tinted outlook on life and love made her fall for a wolf?



Isla- the egotist; unlucky in love but always willing to try?



Luca- the PHWOAR ME mean spirited featherbrain who always makes trouble for himself, even when he doesn't mean to?



Tristan- the quietly confident smooth-talker, who's curious nature always leads him into new adventures?



Or Jayden- the softly spoken fisherman who's friends with everyone?
