Is this not the picture of beauty you'd expect of a blushing bride? No? Well it's what you're getting in my legacy, because we can never do anything the normal way.
Paiden Heart has just married her long-term boyfriend Raoul, but sadly she had to skip out on the celebrations of such because the whole fricking fracking place started glitching up. I sent Paiden to a nearby bar to get away from it all, and once there she started to spontaneously vom. Hmm...
I think the bile trial has a lot to do with vamps- I guess some Sims get a bit tetchy around the nightwalkers and so start to blow chunks in every direction, and for Paiden this problem was exacerbated by a certain vamp sitting not too far down the bar.
Paiden tried her best to enjoy her beverage despite the oft times overwhelming urge to upchuck, but as the evening went on the vampire just couldn't seem to keep his eyes off our fair maiden...
In the end, suitably liquored up, Paiden retired to a nearby chair to unwind a little and catch up on her reading, but it wasn't long before she felt a forceful presence by her side.
Taking a drink offered to you by a complete stranger is never wise, and Paiden knew this. However, for some reason she just couldn't seem to say no- the word was entirely absent from her vocabulary, and all that remained was an overpowering 'Yes'.
Besides, after the first sip it was too late for Paiden anyway- it had already started...
DUN DUN DUH!
An unknown time later Paiden awoke in a strange bed in a strange room. She discovered she was still fully clothed, which is always a bonus, but the panic remained at the realisation that she had absolutely no clue where she was or how she had gotten there.
And this fever only began to rise further once she'd surveyed the room and discovered that she wasn't the only one present...
The vamp seemed to be sleeping for a while so Paiden had time to think about what was happening. Immediately her best instinct told her to look for an exit, and so she wandered about the grand house searching for an escape.
It was unnerving to discover that she and the vampire were the only ones in the building, and the deathly quiet ambience this brought about certainly didn't help with the chill Paiden was feeling.
Before long Paiden had made her way outside, just as the sun was creeping over the horizon.
It was quieter still outside and the grounds around the house were vast and wooded. Paiden shuffled along in her wedding dress for a while before she came to the front gate, and felt her heart sink as she regarded their impenetrable stature.
Thoughts flickered across her mind- the obvious urge to scale the gates was ever-present, but as she stood there she began to feel something else trap her thoughts and surround them like cobwebs. Something was calling her back inside the house.
When she reached the bedroom once again the vampire was waking.
And soon he stood before her, in all his... glory.
Paiden twitched uncomfortably in her stance, unsure of what to say or do as her eyes lingered on the man, or what was once a man, in front of her. But in a flash was beside her, mercifully clothed.
It was distressing, the sight of those teeth. Your mother always told you you should never play with sharp things...
Paiden froze as the vampire grinned at her and began to speak.
The feeling of immobility continued as she listened to his voice, and barely flinched as the vampire made a request. It was horror wrapped in cotton wool- an appalling request made to sound so innocent.
It was hard to say no to.
And in that moment he had her.
After being drained of her lovely nutrients Paiden was suitably tired, and so she napped in the nearby bed for a while. When she awoke she discovered she was alone once again.
That would have been the time to run right? The coast was clear, all Paiden had to do was leg it outside and slip through the gates and out to freedom, but she couldn't; wouldn't.
Preparing herself a meal in the kitchen, Paiden sat down to eat with thoughts of returning to her previous home far from her mind.
It was a Siren's Song in the literal sense- something was calling Paiden, keeping her at her will by offering her everything she ever wanted, and no alternative. How could she resist?
For the rest of the day Paiden settled in to her apparent new life. The vampire comforted her, made her feel welcome, and in truth Paiden had everything she needed.
The vampire, however, wanted something more...
Something Paiden initially tried to hold on to...
But in the end she couldn't help but relent.
And relent.
And relent.
Ahh, sometimes life just throws you a curve ball doesn't it, especially if you're a Sim in The Heart Family Legacy. After getting married just a few days earlier, admittedly with some hesitation, Paiden soon found herself willing to give up everything for someone she had just met. But what of this mysterious stranger?
I think it's time you got to know our new playmate...
Holy Abercrombie and Fitch model Batman! Ahem... *has cold shower*
This here is Devon Delacroix, and he is a vampire.
Devon is a Charismatic devil and he has no trouble making new friends, probably because he has a penchant for wandering around in leather undies.
What, isn't that what you look for in a pal?
As an, at times quite lazy, creature of the night Devon doesn't have a job. If this were Sims 2 he would be a Pleasure Sim, for he spends all his time just doing whatever makes him happy. Often this is playing bass, nekked.
As Paiden is herself a Virtuoso she was soon quite taken with our pants-wearing bass-playing blood-sucking fiend, and so decided to serenade him with a lovely tune on the piano.
It was a life like no other- the life as a vampire's consort. Paiden was completely cut off from everything she had ever known as she resided under Devon's thrall, but somehow it didn't matter.
Her life had never before seemed so magical.
Before long Sim statues were made to mark Paiden's succession to the legacy throne, as well as her new and intriguing relationship with Devon.
I think they capture the essence of Devon and Paiden very well indeedy.
Over the next few weeks, Devon and Paiden spent almost all of their time at home. Paiden had ample opportunity to work on self-improvement, and she soon reached high levels in the mixology and piano skills.
But although she was happy in her new life, although she had everything she needed, Paiden couldn't help missing elements from her past at times. Maybe not everything, but certain people in particular.
And so she made a decision to get back in contact with her closest friend.
Paloma had been shocked to hear from her sister after she had disappeared for so long, and in a lot of ways she was mad about it. However, as soon as she sat down with Paiden and Devon she could feel some of that agitation slipping away.
Maybe it had a lot to do with the fact that Devon showed up to dinner in his underpanties. Hell, it would win me over pretty swiftly...
After dinner we were fresh out of brandy and cigars, so instead Paiden and Paloma chilled in the hot tub whilst Devon, erm, transfixed them all with his nifty dancing.
A good night was had by all, but I think someone enjoyed it a little too much...
After one too many cocktails, Paloma decided to go skinny dipping and then neglected to put her clothes back on as she wandered about the house.
Disgraceful.
After reaffirming her bond with her sister Paloma, Paiden felt able to get back in touch with her other buddies too, namely Paige Winters and Sim Fury.
Mm, check out the lingering looks flying back and forth between Paiden and myself. I can dream right?
In time, all of Paiden's friends were introduced to the manthing in her life- Devon, and he didn't waste time in chowing down.
I didn't mind so much.
Before long Paiden and Devon had a tight circle of friends to party with, composed of Paloma and her boyfriend Zach, Sim Fury, Paige, Lane (Paiden and Paloma's younger brother) and themselves.
The gang met up usually every couple of days for a shindig and had a most marvellous time.
Though sometimes certain Simmies had a little too much fun...
Eh, at least I didn't end up nekked like Paloma.
For the next few weeks Devon and Paiden essentially just partied their stupid pretty faces off.
Of course a few chunks were taken out of the guests along the way, courtesy of Devon.
Although he had to lay off of nibbling Paloma for a while whilst she was gave birth.
By this point, Paiden had almost mastered the mixology skill and so was able to moonlight at a variety of bars. It was a good thing really, because the couple had very little money coming in, and there's only so many repomen I can delete.
Whenever Paiden would be working in a bar the rest of the crew would show up to support her, but on one occasion this went very, very wrong.
Oh. My. Gawd.
You know normally I'd say this is my fault- Sim Fury has never been shy about jumping on legacyites as we know, but in this case it was nothing to do with me. Y'see, the thing is- Devon has the Inappropriate trait. It's why he spends most of his time in his pants, and unfortunately it means he likes to kiss people for no reason.
After this kiss in particular, well, nothing really happened. Paiden was peeved- I saw her moodlets- but she didn't try to slap either of us.
I was feeling pretty bad about my shady behaviour so I commanded Sim Fury to apologise to Paiden.
And then I tried to make it up to her by giving her a snog... Tit for tat and all that.
She didn't go for it though, and no I don't know why Devon is slapping a woman in the background. He's a very unpredictable beastie alright.
Following the previous night's indiscretions I suspected it would take a long time for Paiden to forgive Devon.
But would you know it, the saucy devil was able to worm his way back into her good books pretty damn easily.
That's a smooth operator right there.
You know, Devon was such a slick schmoozer that he was even able to convince Paiden to bear him a litter of mini-vamps, despite the fact that she doesn't like children.
Despite her traits, Paiden seemed quite enthused about the child on the way as she set about reading some baby books to prepare herself.
She even took a trip to visit Paloma, because after all she was a mother herself.
And this is her son, Aaron Heart.
Throughout the pregnancy Devon tried his best to keep his girlfriend, and himself, happy.
Of course, Devon's interests always came first, which generally seemed to focus around Paiden's capillaries.
In the middle of the pregnancy, Devon rolled a certain wish (surprisingly) so of course I obliged him.
Perhaps more surprisingly though, Paiden declined.
I guess maybe The Fury Kiss Incident isn't quite so forgotten after all...
The following day it was labour time, and thankfully for Paiden she didn't have to live through this one alone- Devon was dutifully by her side.
After hearing that water births were good Devon and Paiden headed downstairs, though I really don't think this is what doctors have in mind. Devon chillaxed in the hot tub whilst Paiden huffed and puffed beside him.
Now, as some of you may know, this is the point when things went a bit loopy in my game. For some reason, when Paiden started to give birth she would pop out like thirty kids at once. Eesh! Thankfully I found a workaround, as I always do, and two young boys were born. Because of the problems I'd experienced we moved straight on to the toddler stage, so would you like to see them?
Adorablish, no?
This is Castiel.
And this is Gabriel.
And this is Paiden aging up into an Adult, wheeeeeee.
Ahmagad I love the Terror Twins! They don't look too ebil I know, but they're actually both Insane so I don't hold up much hope for their normality. Already they look like they're plotting my demise...
Hmm, my demise shall be dished out by red triangles... Interesting...
So, whilst Castiel and Gabriel were toddlers I spent a lot of time fawning over them, but unfortunately I seemed to be the only one...
What you're seeing here is just another day in the Heart household- neglected children all round. And where are the proud parents I hear you ask? Well...
Apparently, Mr and Mrs Kinky Knickers think a hot tub rendezvous is more important than childcare.
Eventually I managed to pull Devon and Paiden away from sexytime in order to care for their kiddies, so yey they didn't die or anyfink.
But that's not to say the parentals learnt their lesson- over the next few days Paiden spent her time partying rather than child-rearing.
Devon stepped up a bit more though. He wasn't exactly the most brilliant parent, but he'd give his kids some love every so often... in between protests.
However, unfortunately for Devon, Castiel and Gabriel weren't exactly the most well behaved kiddies... Gabriel in particular seemed determined to escape from the family home- I caught him making his way outside on a number of occasions.
In the end I think it was all too much for Devon, as I discovered when I found him passed out on the floor outside, just sizzling in the daylight.
Thankfully the kids aged up soon enough; I think it was vital for both the twins and the parents survival...
Castiel was up first.
And Gabriel followed not long after- outside after one of his many escape attempts.
Here's are the little cuties as children.
And that my friends brings us to the end of this chapter. I leave you now with a picture of me checking out Devon's arse in the hot tub.
Ta-rah, and Merry Christmas.
xoxo
